Crossfit's methodology

We base our TD CrossFit program around Crossfit’s methodology of developing the 10 general physical skills.

This approach to fitness classes develops a broad, general, and inclusive fitness: fitness with a general physical capacity that lends itself well to any and all contingencies; the likely and unlikely; the known, unknown, and unknowable. It is not enough to develop one capacity at the expense of any or all others

Cardiovascular/respiratory endurance – The ability of the body’s systems to gather, process, and deliver oxygen

Stamina – The ability of body systems to process, deliver, store, and utilise energy

Strength – The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply force

Flexibility – the ability to maximise the range of motion at a given joint

Power – The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply maximum force in minimum time

Speed – The ability to minimise the cycle time of a repeated movement

Coordination – The ability to combine several distinct movement patterns into a singular distinct movement

Agility – The ability to minimise transition time from one movement pattern to another

Balance – The ability to control the placement of the body’s centre of gravity in relation to its support base

Accuracy – The ability to control movement in a given direction or at a given intensity

At The Training Design, we program all our workouts and training programs in-house each and every day, based on exactly what we see our members need to improve on in all aspects of their fitness.

Your full week of programming is delivered on our personal app, so you can plan your week ahead of time, and never miss the sessions you really want to hit.

We have the biggest and most well-stocked facility in Chelmsford, with all the newest state-of-the-art equipment needed to get the most from your training. This along with Open gym space, community area, shower/ changing facilities, and free onsite parking, the training design delivers the best fitness classes in Chelmsford.
